Hatillo-Camuy Water Treatment Plant

The project will benefit approximately 50,800 residents in the municipalities of Hatillo, Camuy and Quebradillas by providing more reliable water service in compliance with the local regulations. Financed with the State Revolving Funds of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and managed by the Puerto Rico Department of Health, the project follows the EPA and American Iron and Steel Act requirements.

• New Pump Station Structure with three pumps of 1,500 GPM
• New Raw Water Intake Structure with the Cohanda Effect System
• New Electrical Building with the project Motor Control Center System, Electrical Generator, Diesel Storage Tank, and Electrical Substation
• New Telemetry System to communicate with the Treatment Plant
• New Optical Fiber to communicate with the Treatment Plant
• New 16” diameter Ductile Iron Pipeline cross country of one kilometer in length
• New Surge Tank for the pipeline system
• New access road in the Dam area and improvement of existing road
• Demolition of the existing raw water intake pump station
